Steps for Teenagers to acquire a CA Driving License:

  1. Have your parent’s permission.
  2. You must be at least 15 1/2 years old.
  3. Get DMV-approved online driving education to complete 30 hours of Driver Education.
  4. Get driving eduction Completion Certificate.
  5. Enroll in behind-the-wheel training.
  6. Get Certificate of Enrollment.
  7. Pass the California DMV Instruction Permit written test.

It is very important to understand that due to strict adherence of the above stated requirements, the California DMV will not accept any students that are unable to fulfill these above requirements.
